Following the complaint letter sent to ASUS concerning damage done to my lappy whilest in their custody, ASUS has finally agreed to DOA the faulty unit and gimme a brand new V6J![]()
Morale of the story: Send complaints directly to the top management if you can't get satisfaction from customer service. Top management treat customer complaints seriously as they value customers more than the lowly techies...
-EDIT-
How they screwed my baby![]()

Woooooo~! Congrats Seb~!!!!!!!!
That's freakin' awesome. I'm trying the same thing because they scratched it up and my baby is acting up.
I'll be just as happy if they just fix the darn problems.
Man, good for you, and you're totally right about contacting head management.
I've had to deal with Rogers so many times over here in Canada about my cellphone bills and things like that. I went up 4 levels and finally got everything in order with a free new phone too~!

Congrats, man! Will they restart the warranty clock with the new unit?
-
Very happy for you, handled the situation very well. But that is true start finding high level execs complain and you situation will always be handled very fast. Works with dell. Know someone that contacted michael dell thats his name right. couldnt believe it worked.

mine is still in the service! they want to exchange the whole top part of the notebook now, which can't be delivered at the moment. i'm starting to get really anoyed of the whole story. if i don't get it back by the middle of next week, i'm going to complain to asus, in the hope of getting a new unit like you... -
Start working on the complaint letter

Sorry about the lack of a reset warranty, Seb. That's been an irritation of mine over the years. I've never thought those policies to be quite fair, although I have friends in business that do.
ASUS gave me new V6J
