    Hey guys,

It seems to me that the asus hkey utility is a little odd. All of the sudden the other day it started crashing after I boot. I didn't really do anything different to make this start I thought. I'm running the latest version from the asus site and I have a w3j. Any ideas?

ya the same thing happened to me, i hadnt dont anything with intel wifi drivers my hkey just kept crashign on boot. I've installed the modded hkey file since then and altho i lost some Fn functionalities the volume and pwr4gear buttons work and nothing crashes.

I dont have the link on the top of my head, but google it and u'll find it

Sorry, but could you tell me what to search for exactly? hkey is a registry, so the search results aren't that great. Thanks.

And you lost the fn for volume? That sucks... that is the main one I use.

Are we talking HControl here instead of HKey? :)

Thanks a ton, it fixes everything and adds more customization. I managed to keep my vol up and down buttons however.

how can we customize it? i've been really busy with other stuff and was just working on making a good looking desktop and icons and stuff.

Could you tell me what you have managed to customize and stuff? I wouldn't mind being able to start media player using the instant on button for example

Darrick, are you using this driver or the original? I'm using the one on the cd and some stuff works, but not the quick launch keys.
