Been out for a while, though its just a painted V6j.

The next few ones look to be interesting :)

Asus USA insists on importing that and the S6 at the same time.... with merom around the corner, and the fact that the extra $1000 over a stock V6j is for a painted lid (which is honestly worth $600-700 on it's own based on the processes and they fact that lambo painted them themselves... and the other $300 is basically for a guarenteed year of no bad pixels....

It will be coming, but it's a matter of when.. and when it does, it will be limited to probably no more than 100-200 tops in all of North America.

Ahem, that's an extra $1000 for a painted lid AND a factory overclocked GPU... w00t! ;)

Considering all the hype, most people were quite disappointed with the VX1 when it finally arrived.

I'd be surprised if NA only gets 100-200 units too. Apparently that Australian market has been allocated 300 units, and we have 10% of your population. Seems the Lambo may not be all that exclusive either.

Well, all I can say is that what will be the Vx2 I believe is going to be all new and completely designed by Lambo with the technical help of Asus..... that's the model I'm waiting for. This was to get the press interested (which they did) and to open up "the brand" in terms of Lambo and laptops..... That's done and the limited production of the Vx1 is done..... but for the US office, they realize that Asus' buyers here in the states know this is just a V6j with paint and some other little things........ Alone, the Vx1 is a nice system, but knowing that the V6j is what it's made from and in a couple ways, more minimalistic..... that's the better buy....

The number we'll probably get is a lot lower than our allocation...... however, it's just a matter of who will buy what and everyone has a different opinion on that. If we could sell 20 of those Vx1's, I think that would be decent considering the price verses the configuration..... probably all to lambo owners or wannabe owners......

Merom has really screwed up new model introduction on a whole here in the US anyway.... that's really the big hold up. Some of these models like the Vx1 and the S6f..... probably need a bit more shelf time to get reviews out and people intrested..... you can't have that when there is a turnaround in the market ever 4-5 months.
