I'm pretty sure I have a defective LCD on my new N55SF but I wanted to make sure no one else has a similar experience before I assume it's defective.

I didn't notice it at first, but when my laptop should dislpay a certain shade of gray, it's a yellow haze instead. It was noticable when I started playing Skyrim and looked up to the clouds - and instead of gray, they were yellow. At first I assumed goofy video driver issues so I reinstalled those. Another funny thing though - the splash screen on nvidia.com, instead of being an attractive gray with slight greening, had ugly yellow splotches...

Suspecting it may be LCD related, I took a screen shot in Skyrim and of the Nvidia logo - on my laptop LCD the yellow existed. Emailed to myself and viewed on my cell phone - they look normal. Using HDMI out on laptop, everything looks normal on my TV, yellow on the LCD.

Then I went to Contrast - Lagom LCD test and sure enough, the very middle bar on all the colors was off, and of course the very middle gray bar was a hazy yellow.

Changing the color calibration does not help because all of the other colors are spot on. Uninstalling the speciality ASUS color software does not fix it either. Pretty sure it's just a bad LCD. Any other ideas or is it time to exchange it?

EvanCG, sorry to hear about this issue, and thanks for the Lagom link. If you can return the unit and get a new one that is what I would do. It sure sounds like a hardware issue. BTW you did a great job troubleshooting
