    Hey guys,

I want to buy a 1005PR netbook, but given the problems I've been hearing about some of them shipping without the HD chip, I'd like to buy from a vendo that will test it before they ship it to confirm the presence of the chip. PortableOne has already told me that they could do it, BUT they charge a lot for shipping to an APO address (I'm deployed at the moment.)

Are there any other vendors that do that?

I think xoticpc will do it if you ask, or if you pick a custom part (email them and ask)

Generally speaking, Ken over at GenTech ( GenTech PC Store) is also pretty accommodating about that sort of thing. You can email him or send him a message on here, he is around the forums pretty often.
