Where did the OS come from? was it installed on the laptop from new?!. Sounds like it has been installed and is from Dell branded disc's
-
most likely a dell-oem vista installer disc was used in your asus notebook.
did you bought yours laptop brand new? -
Actually, it's the other way around. Asus makes notebooks for major computer companies, including Dell. You probably have a Dell OEM disk, though that would be strange since OEM discs can only be installed on the manufacturer's notebooks. Did you pirate the os then use a bios simulator by any chance?
-
yah you most likely have a copy of windows on your laptop, where the seller used a oem activation crack and happened to pick dell as the oem

i got the answer !!
this vista was cracked in a dell notebook -
You used the "official" hacked version of Windows Vista and both x86 and x64 versions are the Dell OEM Master disk...

Lets not start talk about piracy here alright......

Actually the copy of windows XP professional that came with my old desktop can be installed on multiple computers without ever needing registration for some reason. I have saved the reciept of purchase of the computer just in case the feds come knocking but I am in fact a legitimate owner of such a copy of windows and I have only installed it on my own computers. I plan to use it to dual-boot on my C90s soon but first I need to get around to wiping the old hard drive I guess.
ASUS notebook made by dell?????
