I sent in my laptop to get repaired due to an overheating issue, I got it back 2 weeks later after they lost it in shipping, The notice they sent with it said it had its vga card replaced and new thermal paste put on, I opened up my laptop when I finally got it back and nothing had been repaired, the vga card was the exact same serial number, the thermal paste was still the old paste it had been sent with. So all in all asus had my laptop and did nothing with it and then sent it back claiming it was repaired.

My advice is to replace the paste yourself. I sent my G73 in for RMA for the same issue and it came back running a couple of degrees cooler but still overheated within minutes. I then did it myself and it's now running better than new (maxing out at 94C).

this worries me cuz i have the exact same issues as you did, and im planning on send it to rma...=S

Ugh I just ordered my laptop, I hope theres no problems.

Oh and to top it all off they ripped the warranty sticker that is over the cpu mount and stripped the screw. Bravo asus, Bravo. SO now you can just claim that you don't have to fix it because the seal is broken. So thank you to your half technicians.

Not as bad as you think, since your first RMA is on record.

I went through the exact same thing....I dread the day I have to do a RMA with Asus.

I sent mine in for a new LCD and got it back with a used LCD with smudges and very deep gouges! That was the Indiana facility, btw. Then I sent it off to CA and they set me up with a flawless new LCD. But that took over a month to get straightened out.

As long as u don't have hardware issue, there is no problem. Check out sig for software/driver issues that may or may not occur. -
