So Im having some slight problems with my G1(not G1s). Its just that Windows always notifies me that performance is low because of certain programs. I've been meaning to take some of them away since I do not know what they are used for and whenever I need to restart my computer, the programs do not end themselves. I was just wondering what these programs do and if it would be safe to remove these:
-Asus MultiFrame
-Asus Net4Switch
-Asus Splendid Technology Utility
-Asus LiveUpdate
Thanks for your time!

LiveUpdate for sure, it's a program to download the latest drivers/BIOs, but it would be a better idea doing yourself via ASUS Support site. Multiframe isn't needed(though helpful if under correct situations), Net4Switch I never used so I have it uninstalled anyways. Splendid is kind of a personal preference, if you rarely use it and are content with the LCD as it is, then remove it. But I find that it comes in useful at times, the auto adjusting options can be useful.

Thanks for the help! Well Im going to uninstall net4switch for sure seeing that its not doing me anything, but then Im really wondering what multiframe actually does?
-
I would like to know exactly what all those things do before I uninstall them.
What is net4switch? And the other ones? -
Well I believe Net4Switch is useless because I already uninstalled it, Im guessing it has something to do with your wireless connections? No idea, anyone got anything?
-
Please, do uninstall Asus Live Update. In some (many?) versions it has a bug where it slowly eats up all the RAM. Also, in 99.(9)% it's not actually updating anything, ever.
Edit: I meant UNinstall, of course, UNinstall, UNinstall, UNinstall. -
i like asus splendid.
the other ones should be uninstalled. Dont worry about what they do, they dont do anything good so thats why they get uninstalled. -
pardon me if i am wrong, i am recalling from the back of my head and it seems i might be wrong.
ASUS software-safe to remove?
