    I have an ASUS u46e Bal7 Notebook.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate non-OEM, which means I had to download and install all the drivers off the ASUS support site.

I recently had to have Best Buy's geek squad replace my monitor & my touchpad was acting funny so I had them replace that too(the paperwork said they did anyway I'm still having some issues with it)

Anyway my question is prior to sending my notebook in I was able to install Elantech touchpad drivers & install ASUS Smart Gestures(even though they aren't meant for my type of touchpad). I had saved the exact Elantech drivers & Smart Gesture version that worked on a MicroSD card prior to sending my notebook in.

When I got my notebook back and I was installing the drivers it would not allow me to install the Smart Gesture software. It would tell me that the software isn't meant for my touchpad(which it really isn't according to ASUS website it's meant for Click-Pad design), however it worked for me prior to sending it in. Before I sent it in I backed up important information and reformatted, then when I got the machine back I reformatted again(It's not totally impossible that someone at geek squad could put some type of virus on my pc to get information). Does anyone know of a way to get ASUS Smart Gesture to work on my notebook? My notebook is supposed to run on the Synaptics touchpad drivers however Smart Gesture only works with Elantech drivers and is just so much nicer and has more features. I can install the Elantech drivers but not Smart Gesture. It worked as it was supposed to prior to reformatting before sending it in, so there has to be a way.

It's been a few days and I haven't heard anything...can anyone chime in here on what I can do? I know it's possible to run smart gestures on my notebook because I did it, but I don't know why after getting it back it no longer works.
