    Are there ASUS laptops with 17" WSXGA + and core duo ? Shipped iin US ?
    I've heard good things about Asus, unfortuately they seem to have limited options

    There are two ASUS 17" laptops...the W2 and A7 series. Check the ASUS website in your local area to see if they are shipping core duo versions yet for these models.

    W2Jb are the ones shipped in the US. They hav onli a WXGA+ screen. The C versions hav a WSXGA+

    The A7J sold in Australia appears to have a WXGA+ (1440x900) screen. Kinda disappointing...

    ASUS is not currently offering either an Ensemble or Built on ASUS 17" model with Core Duo and a WSXGA+ screen, but should be releasing both the Ensemble W2J and the Built on ASUS Z83J within the next month or so.

    Er, doesnt powernoteboks have W2J already ? And isnt it NOT WSXGA+ ?
    Did u mean W2jC ?
    Also, do you have the specs for Z83J ? I could not find them on google.

    We have the ASUS W2Jb-Y007M which has the WXGA+ screen.

    We expect the next version of the W2J to come in with the WSXGA+ screen but we do not yet have its full model name, detailed specifications, or pricing.

    We expect the new Built on Asus configurable Z83J to have similar specs to the PowerPro A 2:17 specs (ASUS Z83V) but with Core Duo and the ATi X1600 w/256MB.
