Ok so i have a couple questions about this nice looking Asus notebook.

First off, What does the "VX" in Go7700 VX mean? Or what advantages does it have over the Go7700 of the Asus G1?

Second Question. (about Asus) Is it possible to buy Asus notebooks on their site? I cant seem to find out where if there is.

And what are some places (aside from newegg) where i could look to purchase one.

The VX is just the name of the Lamborghini series by ASUS, the VX1 was a 15" V6 modificed notebook. I would assume the VX would mean a slight factory overclock instead of the default clock.

The VX2 is a new design, a 15.4" notebook based off the V1j.

You can't buy ASUS notebooks direct, you can only purchase them from dealers and resellers. Check the ASUS Sticky for a list of dealers.

    Think of it this way:
The ASUS G1 has most of the good stuff in the VX2 spec-wise except the strong VX2 (based off V1J) chassis. The ASUS V1J has the strong chassis used in the VX2, but specs are a tad weaker.

If you want excellent specs and a good chassis, get G1
If you want good specs and an excellent chassis, get V1J
If you want both excellent specs and excellent chassis, get VX2
