Is it me or I just can't seem to find a lot of posts on the F3JP series. Even in the Sticky threads where all Asus series are reviewed I don't see a review for the F3JP. Is there some reason for this? Thx

Everyone who buys one just seems to mysteriously disappear.

Seriously, though, I have no clue.

I have F3Ja. It's the same machine with lower specs: T5600 and x1600 but it does have WSXGA+ screen. I've used it for couple of months now and I'm quite happy with it. It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. No regrets of buying it. Build quality is more than satisfactory for me.

    Hi Timswar,

Any reviews on the F3JP-AK048P? Did you consider any other Asus models before deciding on this one? How long have you had it for? Thx

i'm not really interested in writing a full review, mainly because that involves downloading a lot of benchmarking software and stress testing software that i'd really rather not run...

i can say that i considered the A8Jp and the G1 before getting this... the deciding factors were that A: i consider it a fair compromise between the two, and B: newegg.com was sold out of the G1 and the A8Jp when i was ready to buy, and wouldn't confirm any idea of when they'd be geting more of either in...

iv'e had it for about 3 weeks now... and other than a desire to upgrade the ram (Which is unfortunately going to be expenisive since it has the 2x512 sticks) i'm finding it a very satisfactory purchase (hey, for the amount i've paid there's no way my mind wouldn't allow me to be satisfied)

I looked at the review and the link that charlotte provided, i think its a great steal from newegg for $1,300, and fedex needs to hurry up and get my F3JP here. Im gonna try and find my digital cam to take some pics and download 3d Mark and PC Mark to run some benches and hopefully i can post them on wed. or thur.

I believe that those programs are not going to burn down your F3, if you`re referring to that. :D

Otherwise, I`ve had my F3Jc for three months, everything was fine exept for the widespread AudioDJ issue. Its been 3 weeks in warranty service and I should be getting it back today, hopefully fixed for good. Luckily I didn`t really need it back as quickly as most users on this forum are used to.

Well here in na it wasnt really priced right. It competes with a model we have called the s96j and has many parts in common.

so it was 15-1600 $ for an s96j that costs about 1200$

Even the new price of $1300 is more than you can get a s96j for. Same lcd.

And it has the common audio dj problem

even at the 1300$ price the a8jp is better, it has a better screen. no audio dj. But it shows you how bad a deal it was before when I made that comparison

Prices change constantly. I dont like how that model compares to asus other models really it has no place. I think this newegg deal on the f3jp and a8jp shows these were the loser models asus had in the last few months. They are on quick north american liquidation

They were $1500 models and now they are $200 off. They are priced right though now they are good deals.
