Hi, I just bought a new laptop and it was working fine until I started it the second time. It popped up an error saying "Can't open ACPI ATK0100 kernel mode driver." after clicking on OK it came up another pop up saying "You have to install ATK0100 driver." The problem is, that a research about it and the only ATK0100 driver i could find was for windows XP/vista. I appreciate any help I could get, thank you!

You need to re-install your ATK drivers. Should have come on a disk when you bought your laptop.
Mine had the same issue, I popped in the disk and installed everything and was good to go! -
You could try repairing the existing ATK package under "add or remove programs" first, to see if that fixes it. In my experience, it is typically far more expedient and convenient to fix existing programs than to try to reinstall them, as there may be significant differences between the installed software and whatever is on the disk, or what you may find on the internet. This goes doubly for laptops, as many utilize tailored software for their specific hardware configurations. ATK is one of these software packages, being specifically designed for controlling the "hotkeys" on your keyboard (among other things). IF a repair of the existing software does not work, then your next safest bets are 1) your restore/resource/driver disc that was supplied with your laptop or 2) a direct download from the manufacturer... which MAY (with Asus, at least) provide outdated drivers for your specific model.
Quick Edit: I should note that using the resource disc almost ALWAYS means installing an outdated program or driver. However, it also typically means you are guaranteed to get the exact default program that was installed on the computer, as opposed to a "next-best/closet thing" that you may get from the Support Downloads at Asus. Which, typically, will upgrade themselves relatively seamlessly. When LiveUpdate feels like working
Try this out and get back to us on how it works out!

Here is a link below where you can update to the current driver. Have you also tried going under device manager and rolling back the driver that sometimes helps as well. The ATK driver is under utilities.
