    Today, all of the sudden my avi files are being played back in PINK! this is in VLC as well as windows media player. anyone have any idea what is up?

    ok, a simple reset fixed the problem. but why did it occur in the first place?

    Just a software glitch if a reboot fixed it no big deal. You must be new to pcs if you arent familiar with glitches..
