I would like to know if their is a different software to enable to fingerprint reader. I don't have the Asus security manager(I couldn't find a link to download it)

I have a fingerprint reader but I got no idea on the way to make it work

P.S Thanks in advance, using F8SN-D1

I wonder if there's software available to turn the fingerprint scanner into a scroll mouse

I don't know, but that's a very interesting idea. :) I'm not sure that sensor is designed for such heavy use, though. (a FP sensor may be designed to withstand up to tens of uses per day, for instance, whereas a scroll button would need to handle hundreds up to thousands).

not a big concern. the FP sensor contains zero moving parts where as a scroll wheel is all about the mechanical linkages. In laymens terms..if it aint got no moving parts then it aint gonna break

Hmm I was wondering how I can utilise the finger print reader (on the M51Sn series) for W.Vista logon. I've uninstalled all that Asus Security crap, but the finger print read just won't come up in device manager, and no fingerprint logon option in user accounts. Blargggg.
