    Hello all,

I am thinking of getting a future laptop soon since my thinkpad HD died. Since $$$ is short right now I gotta just go with a new HD and wait til end of the year to get it. Who knows, by then new improvements or models comes out. But I am willing to try something else than IBM .

My question lies with the screen viewangle. How is it? On my thinkpads, I have 2 the view angle on those suckers were good. I could see the contents at different angles.

    THanks,

I don't know, might be. My Thinkpads are R50P and the A22P. Both 15 inches and the high resolution.

If not, why doesn't ASUS make it 'flexview'? Is it cost related or technical reasons?

    thanks,

They did make one, the V6va, but it was pretty costly, and those LCD's aren't as easy to find and produce.

    thanks for the replies,

I looked up the popular reseller's sites and they appear to sellout on the W3J.

I guess waiting is not so bad, I noticed that on the sides it has buttons for the media player. What happens if I carry it on a notebook backpack? Since they tend to ride vertically, would it affect the buttons?

It's on the edges yea, but when you close the lid, it doesn't touch, unless something thin and hard presses down on it, like a nail.
