    Actual weights (lbs): z71v vs. w1 refresh

    so the z71v is listed as 6.61 and the w1 as 7.0 lbs, according to agear. com. course thats not the refresh


    are these adjusted weights? with the standard battery coming with each laptop? wondering how much heavier the w1 refresh is going to be compared to the z71v. also somewhat confused as to why create the w1 refresh...its simply going to dominate the z71v in almost every sense

    Well, you're right, it will dominate, but it's also going to be heavier and must more expensive for the same level configuration....

    Those numbers are correct based on the current lineup. The refreshed W1 may gain a little bit of weight, but I can't see it weighing that much more as the W2 is supposed to come in at what... 7.3 pounds or something like that.

    The W1's new video card and cooler may weigh an ounce more..... the tv tuner may add another ounce... I can't see it coming at more than 7.1 pounds... not much different. It's the SAME Chassis..
