I think I found another FAQ........ you want to know what someone important thinks? Call Asus and ask them about the company. If it takes them a while to come up with something, or they ask you how to spell it, just ask them who they'd buy from because it means they don't do business with them and most likely they don't do much if any business with their distributors, otherwise the name would click and they'd know their story. Asus' US Office is small and they have a list under 100 names long or who sells their stuff and only 5-10% of that list that does any real business..... I can remember the states most every customer I've ever dealt with, so knowing a set number of companies is nothing.

Good advice, and that's what I attempted to do yesterday prior to my origional posting. I got to sales, was put into a man's voice mail and told to leave a message and he would return my call...so far he hasn't. I thought it odd that a company's USA sales office wouldn't have someone available to take a call, but perhaps your comment about the size of the operation explains that. It's only been one business day however and I expect I still may hear from him. I also spoke with a man at proportable at 5:30 yesterday and he was quite helpful, very knowledgable and patient with my questions.

Don't knock the voice mail........ we've got three people who take sales calls and if they're busy, we don't waste the time keeping people on hold because they could be on for 5 minutes or an hour..... so we just kick them to voicemail because we hate waiting on hold (so figure most other people do as well)....... sometimes that's just the name of the game. If no one else picks up it does ring here with me, but unfortunately I'm busy myself most of the time and I can't get them either..... Sometimes I think that's better than pushing some customer off the phone. One thing I can say for our guys is time isn't an issue..... if you call at 5pm, they'll stay late till they're done with you............. and when they're in working on problems and so forth, they pick up the phone late. Heck, I work till 10-11 or later most nights, so I'm glad people will follow suit and help.

Perhaps I wasn't clear... the man at Proportable answered the phone after 5:00 and represented your company well. The voice mail I referenced reaching yesterday was from ASUS, and BTW, no one returned that call today. I'm not "knocking" anyone or any technology, just agreeing with your suggestion about asking ASUS for information, confirming that I had taken that step and expressing an observation regarding my attempt to reach ASUS central. I seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot with you, so, for the last time I'll apologize and I will drop this inquiry. Have a good day.

I took your comment exactly how you meant it... I realized you were pleased with service..... I was just commenting about how you said the other place if they wanted to take your order, they should answer your phone call....... I meant it as a general thing because I know how we run things here.......... someone just having a machine and never being able to talk to someone and having no way to contact them is obviously a different story..... If you read what I wrote again with that in mind, I'm sure you'll understand what I meant.... so no need to apoligize, but I'll apoligize for not being as clear as possible.

If you need any help contacting Asus, I'm sure I could help... just let me know if you need anything.
