    Hi people,
In the market for a laptop and a friend of mine recommended a good computer shop with good customer service.
Called into the shop and the man I was dealing with said an Asus F3U is the very best computer and deal they could give me. He said it is an excellent computer and a very good buy at €759 with a two year warranty. (My budget is to around €900).
Initially, I'm looking for the computer to do word documents on and use for the internet. However, I'm also going to look at using it for programmes such as Quark, Power Point, Excel and Dreamweaver.
    Any views will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

If you haven't already, go to the WNSIB forum and fill in the FAQ. The F3 is a decent option but there may be better options to cater to your needs.

well, F3 is not bad except it will crack bottom right around the keyboard area

im still waiting for that (touch wood), let hope it wont happen. but most people got a F3 said it will....anyway

when u ar looking for laptop, three main things u want to focuse on are

    CPU, RAM, and graphic card

if u more focusing in work, u dont need a really strong cpu
see u use dreamweaver, u need a strong graphic card

also, if u use vista, u will need at least 2GB RAM

CPU 1.8, 2GB RAM, ATI or GForce.

    Thanks Coriolsis and Kvehh
I filled out the FAQ and was given one or two computers which are of interest. I was interested in the Asus after the recommendation from my friend about the shop and from the visit to the shop which apparently has a good reputation.
The two year warranty would cover the cracks I presume Kvehh but that doesn't sound good.
The F3 I was shown comes with a CPU Turion TL58 (I don't know about that and weather it is good or bad) and it has AMD Turion 64 x 2, ATI Radeon Graphics, 160 GB Hard Drive, 2GB memory.
