    ASUS G50VT-X1 with Nvidia 9800M

Now remember, if you can respond to this, that I only understand about 70% of what people have written in this forum..lol..maybe abit more..LOve the new pooter..getting it set up and ready to give to my son for a present..I downloaded world of warcraft and all expansions (that seem to fix the adobe flash problem I was having, saying it wasn't supported)..I know there are adjustments yall have talked about to make this laptop run better for games..first, I cannot get the volume "keys" to work (DOh!) and when I first start playing WOW i notice a lag and crackling in the speakers ( it does stop after a minute)..Any thoughts?

I love the way the game looks, so much nicer than on my pc and I am really happy with my purchase of the Asus, I just need help to make afew adjustments..good thing I love that kid and that he does so well in school or the laptop would be mine..lol..

Have you perhaps forgotten to install the ATK Hotkey utility, or the ATK drivers? Or maybe prevented it from starting while configuring Windows. That is the utility that enables the use of the hotkeys including volume up and down.

It can also be a problem with the audio driver, in which case you could try another version from support.asus.com (if available) or perhaps the drivers from the manufacturer's website. That may also take care of the spurious noises.
