Not sure if this is the appropriate place to seek answers on this particular topic, but I've gotten a lot of help here so far, so I apologize if this is a bit off topic.
So, I ordered the ASUS G Series G50VT-X2 as listed on newegg. I placed my order on 12/29, but had to verify information on 12/30. It said as of 12/31 that the order had shipped. However, the tracking has been stuck on BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED[M] ever since. Am I out of luck here? My credit card has been charged, but my shipping hasn't changed, and the big "deactivated" sign on the G50VT-X2 page doesn't look promising.
Anyone have some insight?
On a sidenote, anyone know how long it typically takes for newegg to respond to customer service emails? I'll probably just end up calling, but I'm curious.

I ordered something a week before the holidays from Newegg. It took them 7 days to tell me my order was cancelled (by them!), and a week to reply to each of my emails. Using the LiveChat produced the best results, though you often have to wait for 30 minutes at a time.

I'm assuming it'll be the same in my case.
What was the status of your order at the time they cancelled on you? -
Ah, good old cross-posting.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
If your card was charged, then they presumably had access to product at the time. That said, NewEgg doesn't keep actual notebook stock physically in hand, but does sometimes dropship them from a regional distributor instead (hence their No Refund policy).
Your order date puts in in the middle of a holiday reduced-workflow time, so it could just be them taking time to work through it; and UPS does not work for pickup late 12/31 or anytime on 1/1 so I wouldn't have expected any shipping update over those two days as a consequence. Your best bet for peace of mind, as you said, will be to call rather than email. -

this is absolutely unacceptable it seems like i have seen like 20 topics of peoples notebook orders being cancelled after they made a purchase it is time these companies start being honest !

maybe they'll give you an x6 or the x3767313912
-
The x3767313912 has a superior CPU, I personally think they would give them the x3767313913

Well, after a ranting email and a bit of LiveChat discussion with the newegg reps, I'm sitting on $15 newegg credit and no idea if there's a laptop coming my way. Their response was basically "wait until Monday and we'll try checking again."

That sucks i was looking to buy G50vt -X2 last night and today on newegg. I also did a google search and it's available for $1,646.99 on newegg.ca which is Canada i think. The G50vt -X2 was ebay for a used 1 month but i was overbid for ~$1450. Why not just get the G50VT-A1 from newegg at $1,499.99 after mail in rebate. Its basically better w/ 2.53ghz processor, two 250gb hd 7200rpm that can run RAID, and 2.0 megapixel webcam?
-
It's a bit out of my price range. I didn't want to spend much over $1300, so even the G50vt-X2 was stretching my budget.
-
the asus g50vt x6 is out now for the same price
-
I'm worried all of the g50vt stuff on newegg is a little unstable right now, I'd wait a week before buying one. Random deactivations and such.

I was in a similar situation, they deactivated the laptop a day after I processed my order. You had to check with them immediately to make sure they can keep your order, if not just get them to cancel and get a x5 that released recently. I would barter them into giving me a free overnight shipping though just because you had to go through the hassle of reordering and waiting a few extra days.I was lucky my order was shipped, i bought it the same day you bought yours.

Haha, I got an email saying they're shipping one from Canada and knocking it from 3 day shipping to 2 day, so I should get it Tuesday. I guess that's about the best I could hope for, I'm not gonna complain.

Thanks, i saw that today but going w/ A1 instead.
Am I screwed? (G50VT-X2 deactivated on newegg, "already shipped")
