I have an annoying little dot on my monitor and I can't seem to clean it off. Can anyone give advice or help?
Here is an image. You can't see the dot unless you make the image bigger by clicking it.

Looks like damage to the LCD itself...

see if you're under the dead pixel warranty. I believe its 30 days. If you are asus will replace it for free if not, then either leave it or send it in to get fixed You will have to pay for it if you're not covered.

2 dead pixels or a chip on the screen itself.

It actually looks like a physical manufacturing defect. Not just a "dead" pixel(s) that won't turn on or stuck. Least it's trying to display the correct color or it's bleed from the nearby pixels...

Not much you can do... Suckage...

    Cheers,

I heard there's a chance that if you give it a good rub it can clear up, worth a shot. :)

I too got dead pixels on my new UL80 today.

    Asus quality control sucks.

this isn't my first time dealing with dead pixels. this is why I hate buying LCD products.

I would pay 100$ extra to get a perfect screen if i could.
