Bought a Modem (Netgear WPN824), tried to set it up, got the network running under WEP security but i cant get WPA to work, i change it on the router but when i do it on laptop, it just searches but displays IP address as invalid and zero. Router supports it and has all firmware so i dont know whats up. I dont want to be logged on with WEP so everyone can hack into my machine.

Is it normal that i enter one (26 digit key) in the router as well as laptop but when i look again, key in the laptop has only 8 digits (i assume it defaults to "password" maybe)?

Also, often when i click on "change advance settings" for wireless it just freezes up and i have to end that program.

As you can see i am a laptop n00b.

this is totally a network issue, nothing to do with the G2S or Asus in general.
The key for the router should be exactly the same as the one in the laptop or else it will not connect. You'll get "limited connectivity" if the WEP key is incorrect.

I managed to connect with WPA2..problem was in missing drivers (apparently many of them were missing, not just for wireless).
