Ok, I know I am not supposed to upgrade the memory. *cough

In THEORY (and only in theory of course), would this memory work in the W3v:

    *cough *cough

That is the same memory Justin is selling at Proportable... notice the model number VS512SDS533D2. But Justin is selling it cheaper!

Just my 2 cents to save you a couple of your own.

    --Gary

Ah.... wiat, I just saw you're from Canada so that may be a factor?

Ya, I just prefer to order it from Canada so as to save myself the duty. That's $155CDN so it's about the same price as Justin is offering. I am sure I can find it for less up here somewhere, I just went to the first site I thought of to look for it, I wanted to get the EXACT specs.

In theory of course! In theory!

I think Justin puts in Corsair XMS.
    Isn't that a more advance version ?http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=85016-31

    Likwid,

Your link is to Dimm slots not 200-pin sodimms that fit the W3V... so that price is of course meant for desktop systems.

Canadian Questions are some of the best in the world. Often imitated, never duplicated, always awesome [8D]

The 512 stick in the link above is only $88 bucks Canadian...I'm pretty sure it's compatible isn't it?

Cal, no I think that one wouldn't be compatible. It would need to be 533MHz DDR2 PC4200 I think.

Canada Computers does have some Kingmax micro-DIMMs though if anyone is looking for some of those in Canada.
