Hey i would like your opinion on which cooler would be better for the asus g1s. I understand the g1s gets real hot...i hope its good enough to bring to class because i have to deal with it everyday in class. I got it so i can play games as well in my dormroom, thats where i will be using the cooler. I just found out the zalman cooler has a slant...so i dont know if thats a good thing or not. I would like everyones opinions, the prices dont matter i can spend the 50 on the zalman if its better.

FWIW, I'm really impressed with the Zalman's build quality, low noise levels, and cooling ability. I don't have the G1S though.

i have the zalman, absolutely no complaints. lowered temp's by 6-8 degrees C for both idle and load. its just about the right size for the g1s too. super quiet, can use the extra usb to keep the back less cluttered. the black wth black keeps it looking sharp, when i use it i can feel cool air coming through the keys at times which feels really nice. cant say anything about the antec, but if you can spend the extra cash like you say, then you will be very pleased with the zalman

I have the Antec notebook cooler and it works great. even when gaming, the notebook fan rarely comes on. The fan on the cooler itself is very quiet and does a good job of keeping the notebook cool

thanks for the responses, still hard, because everyone says the antec is good and its half the price, if anyone has the temps when they use the laptop with and without like air_max did that would be great, the zalman decreases the temps about 6 degrees, but i have to also take into consideration it has a slant.

Has anyone with the Zalman tried using it on your lap? I used my M1210 with my Targus chillpad on my lap, but it seems like the Zalman would be really uncomfortable because of the back edge.

I personally find that the Zalman's slant makes it easier to game and type.. Reminds me of a normal desktop keyboard...

My main worry with coolers is that Im afriad that theyll pull air away from the bottom side of the laptop. I assume this would be bad because the G1s sucks in air from the bottom. Does the antec blow air upward?
