i have the G1S with the 8600 GT video card and completely happy with it... its an amazing laptop for the price... the only downside is the USB placement as well as the heat but you expect the heat from something so powerfull!

I got my G2S a little over a week ago, and it is awesome.
Bought it from Ken at Gentech. Have not had a lot of time to play with it but so far all works even better than I expected :D

Looks like a bigger G1S with red lights instead. Nothing more. I was looking at the G1S but it's like you can get the G2S for only like a few bucks more for a bigger monitor. I assume the battery life would be shorter for this monster. Atleast on paper. The price is so high but they are both monsters among laptops it seems. I mean I think you might be able to play crysis at mid level at the least on one of em. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I was also looking for a lappy that I can put a ubuntu partition on, not sure if this one fits that bill.

Well Screen resolution on G2s is higher than G1s-17 inch screen. Lota people say tha 17 inch is so big. I mean when it comes to carrying a 15 inch or a 17 inch do you think your muscles really goan hurt by carrying extra 2 pounds. Both are beautiful and powerful mean machines. Compare them side by side. Weights and dimensions and get the one you think you like the best. Major difference is the screen though.
And do not worry a personal thread on G2s will be coming soon when people start getting more of this lappy and using it.

I have a G2 and love it so far. Yes it is big and not as easy to carry around but a bigger screen is what I purchased it for.
The screen is crystal clear. Very nice.
