I'm really hoping more laptops get released this year. I know the type of laptop I want but I haven't seen one like it. Hoping for an Asus or any high end laptop with 8th gen intel processor i7 or i9, 4k screen, 16 gigs of ram, 1TB HDD, 256 SSD. I have yet to see something like this... Maybe next year? or End of the year?

I personally wouldn't be exited for any BGA turd, but I would wait for the 1100 series GPUs to be released - some rumours are saying September/October this year. That will more than likely mean mobile GPUs at the end of the year or early next year.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Even if something's announced today, it will probably be months before units ship. If your current system is fine and you're just considering an upgrade, stick with it. If you need one now, it's going to be a long wait before something else, so I'd just get something now.

Hoping for a GM501 refresh with thin bezels...
This would be such a winner in this category.

If you're a motivated buyer it isn't a bad time. RAM prices are coming down recently it seems, so you will probably benefit from having waiting this long.

I think I'll wait a bit more. The specs now aren't right. For what I want.

Also fine. Just keep watching new releases, and for the most part be wary of rumors that seem to be too good to be true.

How often are laptops are released? Will there be any more this year? Or a website to show the line up.

Typically you will see new ones when a new mobile CPU and/or mobile GPU are released. Since these don't often happen at the same time, you'll see some overlap.
