    Complete edit.

Fixed thermal predator issue.. just had to move cam around.

Note that cam doesn't physically MOVE anywhere, it has a auto zoom feature.

My issue has become one where upon software launch I get a black screen
with no picture at all.. regardless of reinstalls I can't fix it.

If there is a software release with the auto zoom that doesn't do this let me know.

Just call asus. The camera is under their warranty.

I just wanted to add that on XP my camera gives me a all black screen for the preview, but if I actually take a picture or record with it that its working fine.

However in Vista it works perfectly and you can see the live preview.

Strange something works better in Vista for once eh?

I have not been able to find a solution to this problem yet, but the camera works perfectly.
