Any reason why I should NOT pull the trigger on the ASUS K72JR-A1?

I've been looking for a all-rounder 17" laptop and after owning an HP and a Dell , I'd like to give Asus a shot due to their 'famed' build and warranty.

My budget is strictly $1000 (give or take $100) so this particular model fits my budget nicely.

    What I like:
    - 17.3 LED screen
    - Decent speakers (compared to my prev Dell/HP laptops) (I have no plan to hook up external speakers either)
    - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
    - i5 CPU
    - 4G decent RAM
    - Famed ASUS build quality
    - 2 year warranty+1 year accidental

    What I don't like:
    - NO backlit screen (compared to Dell Studio 17, which is my second choice)
    - NO built-in tuner card (see above)
    - NO built-in BT module (see above)
    - NO touch controls for DVD/Media playing (unless I'm not seeing the pictures correctly)

My second choice is the Dell Studio 17" which offers my 'dislikes' above but 'dood, it's a Dell :D '. Plus I'd have to purchase the additional year warranty and the accidental separate which will add another $200 to the cost while on the Asus, that part is standard.

I don't buy laptops very often but my HDX18 had a nasty liquid spill and hence why I'm looking for a replacement and a BETTER warranty.

Any feedback from Asus owners? Should I skip on the Dell (better options but average built and less warranty) and get the Asus?

    Cheers!

Sorry..17" only. Had the Dell XPS16 for one week and returned it as it felt kinda small to me.

Don't pull the trigger! What did the poor laptop do to deserve being shot!? At least face it like a man, maybe boxing?

    < / horrible pun >

N71JQ can be had for $1139 after Bing cashback on eBay... no backlit keyboard, faster CPU/GPU, (probably) lower battery life, better speakers, I think it has built in bluetooth.

Up to you, though. Just thought I'd mention the option.

Everything I've seen seems to indicate that. I actually got mine on TigerDirect, though, so I'm not sure. You could "ask seller a question", though.
