I know this has been mentioned in various places within various threads, but I was wondering if anyone (probably more of a question for Justin, since he's are "inside source") knows if there will ever be a barebone w3 or v6 and if you know when, if ever, it'll be released?
I've been very happy with my M3!! I also put it together for an AMAZING price (the specs are below and it cost me $1230 AFTER TAX AND IN CANADIAN FUNDS -- AND THAT WAS BACK IN SEPTEMBER!). So what I really would like to do is just transfer the parts to a new barebone and sell this bareboned (unless I get a good enough deal with all the parts that I can buy new parts for the new machine, without a loss)
The reason I'm looking at upgrading is cuz
1) My 1 year warranty ends in september
2) XGA has become a nuisance... i need at least SXGA resolution (I don't even think WXGA is good enough...)
3) although very low priority cuz i use this laptop for school work, having a 9700 or x600 or greater under the hood wouldn't hurt for when i do like to game [] (although, i was impressed that i could play UT2004 at default settings with good frame rate!)
Thanks in advance for the info...

W3 will be called the Z63A - I don't know about the V6, or if there will even be one.
Anyway, you'll find the latest info under the thread titled "New Asus Models". -
