Turning the Screen brightness down also helps.

In power4gear you can set the battery to entertainment or savings. Other than that, I dont think there is a way to increase the battery life. And then there are these 2 articles:

You can also undervolt it which might save you a bit of battery life... as well as keeping it cooler. I was able to undervolt my G1S a full .2volts just fine so far.

I would guess Notebook Hardware Control, It has a feature to Undervolt the CPU, just make sure you know what to do / use for values
Use at your own risk -
Battery life is pretty pathetic on these....

I use RMClock

To watch a 2h movie, I just set to savings mode and turn the screen down a bit. Make sure you disable all network adapters, especially wireless. I usually get around 2h 11m, while watching a dvd

- reduce LCD brightness to lowest comfortable setting
- disable all the ports you don't need by going through device manager (ex. infrared and PCMCIA/expresscard if you have one)
- turn bluetooth off
- turn wireless LAN off (use the ethernet port if possible when connecting to the Internet)
- underclock using NHC
- unplug unnecessary USB devices (ex. USB memory after using it)
- REDUCE the amount of RAM installed to the system
- downgrade to a 4200 rpm hard drive
- turn off background system processes / quit applications you don't need
- disable anti-virus -
nhc is not compatible with santa rosa cpu atm. The only one that let's you undervolt is rmclock but it also does not fully support the santo rosa cpu. for e.g, it show that the minimum speed is 1200mhz, it's wrong, it's 800mhz.
Rmclocke does not see the dynamic fsb. It's a very new tipe of platform. We need to wait a litle longer.
Any way to improve G1S battery life?
