Any word on Z96J?

Preordered one awhile back from powernotebooks... i remember it supposed to be filtering out around the 6/19 mark anyone (specifically boutiques) have any pics or anything assuming youve received a batch or has Asus bumped back the ship dates?

 

Their site says backordered till July. I am also interested in this notebook. Hope some info comes soon!

 

A local Canadian store near my house says it is only about a week away, although that timeline isn't confirmed.

 

I believe by last weekend, Asus NA has not placed the order with Taiwan yet.

 

i'm trying to sell this to you in any way, but i did some research on the Z96j cos i'm also interested in it.

The weight should 6.4lbs (2.9kg) unless something drastically chagned insideto make it lighter.

I can't wait till I see this model.

I'm pretty sure that's just a pic of the S96J. The Z96 should look very different considering it's not a bland VBI model and should be mor ein line with the "Asus" look (or so I am told)

Yes, those are pictures of the S96J at http://www.affordablelaptops.com.au/z96jb.html, but the ones at http://geared2play.com/store/product.../z96j/z96j.htm are the real deal. You can tell by the LCD cover which will be quite different on the Z96J.

ASUS NA has placed the order and it has been confirmed, but the arrival date has been moved yet again to the very end of June, or early July.
