    I have a W3J with triple boot XP\Vista\Ubuntu Linux.
I am trying to get XGL and compiz running to I can get the cool effects it offers like the cube desktop. I cannot however get it working. I am not sure if it has to do with the video card or not. Has anyone gotten this to work yet?

Try posting on the ubunt forums (ubuntuforums.org). A much much much higher chance that you will get a reply from someone who has experience in this.
