Anyone here with the Asus GL502/702 laptops? What kind of gaming temps are you getting?

I've got the Asus GL702VM. Get good framerates but the temps seem high. Was wondering if any of you own a similar Asus model and what temps you're getting?

    I'm getting:

Gears of war 4: CPU 80C, GPU 87C

    Civ VI: CPU 82 C, GPU 87 C

    Heaven 4.0 benchmark: CPU 82 C, GPU 87 C

However sometimes I've noticed the temps go even higher than these. Sometimes the GPU boost clock inexplicably fails to throttle down despite rising temperatures, ending up with 90C+ GPU.

anything below 99c is safe. You are well within limits.

Just curious, try this test.... use an external monitor as your primary display, and close the lid on your laptop so the back vents are unobstructed.

Now run your game tests again and see if you see lower temps before/after.

I have a suspicion that the stupid lid design blocking the vents causes higher temps
