I have a Prescott P4 (630) in my z81sp and want to upgrade to a the cooler, faster, Cedar Mill 661. I just don't know if the z81sp bios will support Cedar Mill 6x1 processors. I tried googling this issue and haven't found anything.

    Does anyone know?

It may state in the BIOS whether it supports the processor. If the notebook gets hot, then it may just need to be cleaned. A notebook cooler may also be quite helpful, particularly, in increasin ghte airflow under the notebook.

Honestly I don't even know if you can get a mobile Cedar mill, unless you go on ebay. I am not sure about notebook P4s but the desktop prescott and cedar mill were pin compatible.

I don't think that you can either, the z81sp uses desktop P4s.
