I'm asking my dad for 2 1gb sticks of Corsair RAM for my z81sp and I need to know what specific type works in a z81sp and wich type is the best.

Also, is pc4200 the fastest type that works with this model? If you could provide a link to a site that would have it that would be nice but I understand if that's a bit much too ask.

This site might help you out.

By no means feel compelled to buy from Crucial. But I find the memory advisor tool handy at times.

Otherwise, just ask Justin at Proportable or Danny from milestonepc.

I think both of them sell Corsair.

I would go with Corsair ram. I have it and it is the best so far for me. I used to have g-skill and I did have some problem with it since I switch to Corsair ram I never have any problem yet. PC4200 533mhz is the fastest for Z81sp model and it should be compatible with most ram out there.

According to the Crucial site, pc2-5300 is the fastest RAM for a z81sp

Yup, corsair is a very good brand. The Z81sp does support up to DDR2 667mhz ram, if you want you can go for 2x 1gb DDR2 @ 667mhz.

But if you wanna save a little bit of money, then go for 533mhz.

However, it looks like your going for ultimate performance from your laptop, so going with the 667mhz ram would optimize your performance.
