Just wondering who here has ordered from Geared2Play and what type of turn around did you have for it to be sitting at your door???

I ordered my custom Z96J on a Monday, using cheapest shipping it arrived on Friday (so about 4 day turnaround).

If I wasn't head of a company that has dedicated this century to Asus - I personally trust Eddie more than any other Asus dealer. However, you can't ask the question - "what tpye of turnaround?" because that isn't exactly fair. First, you need to ask if it's physically in stock, right then and there. If the item is drop shipped, it depends on from where and who's doing it (they're trusting someone else).... Either way though, your shipping method is going to determine the length of time in transit and your location is going to be different than anyone else - most likely.... Then, the big deal is actually what you're getting..... a stock item that's physically at a place can usually ship same day, if not maybe the next morning.... but a custom system would depend on stock of the extra parts, installation, and I don't know how anyone else's testing compares to ours, but we tpyically add 48 hours to custom systems just for burn-in.......

Basically, I'd just say your question is a little to vauge... Other will and have answered you, but for you to get a real feel for what you want to know you'll need to give the forum more information. Sorry if that TOO much info for you, but it's to better your outlook ;)

satisfied g2p customer here (well now BTOtech, so lets call it that). chose ground shipping instead of air, got here in a lil over a week. not bad for travelling 5000 miles and 2-days off due to Thanksgiving holiday. But Justin (ProPortable) summed it up best, its ultimately up to what kind of shipping you choose and stock. When I ordered a Fujitsu laptop some years ago, the wait was painful as there was no stock and I had to wait for it to be built in Japan first before it came over

you probably would have wasted less time posting here by reading the faq section on the site and then looking at the order page which has an option for either 24 or 48 hour turn around.

eddie gave me free 3 day ups shipping. ;o)

I will explain. We had agreed to 5 day shipping but for some reason the express mail I sent didnt get there for a week, so he upgraded it for free so I got it on friday.

So it was not his fault the usps didnt get him my money order when i thought it would....
Thats very good customer service. And believe me I was bothering him when my check was in the mail. So his turnaround from receiving my check was one day, it was mailed that day. Can only give great marks to btotech.com

I apologize for adding more to the thread, but currently in the holiday season; how does the turnaround looks for a customized W3J? Does it take longer since is one of the popular notebooks line?

I am thinking of waiting next year, til the holiday craze dies down (kinda like the PS3 and Nintendo Wii). Just asking out of curiosity.

    thanks,

stzd8, the best thing to do with that question is to contact the BTOTech/G2P or any other vendor directly.. No telling when they will see this post, after all.

Yep, stzd8, just as Jumper said email BTOTech themselves. Eddie answers emails so quickly its almost scary (does he stay glued to his email inbox all day? :D), while he posts here less often.
