As you've seen in an earlier thread of mine, something went wrong with the linux installation of my laptop, so I had to completely reformat my computer and reinstall Vista.
I lost all my software that came with the laptop, and some of them I really like and were useful. Any idea how I can easily get them back?
Thanks

depends on the manufacturer of the laptop. some companies, such as Alienware, offer download sections on their website where you can download all the software, drivers etc. that were pre-loaded on your machine.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
If this is an Asus notebook, and you left the restore partition alone when you installed Linux and then reformatted, you can use that.
If you deleted the restore partition during any of your Linux/Windows reinstall procedures, then unfortunately your trialware is likely now vapors and won't be coming back as I don't believe that Asus includes copies on disc of those (you did a clean install after all. If what you're looking for is Asus software, however, then you will have to download from Asus' site.
It would be helpful if we knew what exactly you were looking for that has gone missing.... -
I think the OP can just insert the drivers and utilities CD, and install all he needs from there.
(not trialware, probably)
Anyway to get pre-installed software on my reformatted laptop?
