I have just finished applying Arctic Silver 5 to my P8700, and the Chipset and GTX260M. What I can say is... Wow. You G51 owners don't know how easy you guys have it. The G71GX requires you to completely disassemble the entire chassis, complete with motherboard removal in order to gain access. But after all that hard work comes rewards.

    Before AS5-------------After AS5
    CPU Idle-40C-----------Idle-36C
    CPU Load-64C----------Load-58C

    GPU Idle-60C-----------Idle-57C
    GPU Load-84C----------Load-79C

    Chipset Idle-50C--------Idle-46C
    Chipset Load-72C-------Load-62C

Testing load temps was accomplished by running 3dmark06 and monitoring with HWMonitor, with an ambient of about 24C. For immediate results with AS5, I'm happy with the results, I'll be monitoring to see if they drop any more with curing. Now I'm off to find a quality 17" laptop cooler! Any suggestions?

And this is after enabling PowerMizer, which from tests I've done, isn't affecting 3d clocks like some claim...

Heres the gtx260m in all her glory:
