I'm thinking of importing an Asus G50V to europe, and I want to know if asus power supplies can take 220v.

They can. Most laptop power bricks can work from 100-220V.

You'll probably just need a power cord to connect to the power supply since in north america we use something compatible with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEMA_connector while in europe I guess they use something like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europlug

That's correct. Once you have the correct wall cable (available in EU for ~10EUR in stores) the adapter itself will take any voltage/frequency combination in use around the world.
