    Yes, all S96Js are VBI.

    The Z96J is not.

    well having a 'z prefix would mean that its not a esemble, but rather a built on asus. Yes a asus , but customised along the supply chain.

    The S96j is VBI.

    The Z96j is BOA (Built On ASUS), just like the Z70va, and if you remember, many resellers put their own little logo on the Z70va. This can also be done for the Z96j.
