    Are all the Asus laptops from BB downclocked?

    I've seen a few posts/reports that the Asus laptops have downclocked GPU's and such from bestbuy.

    I am looking into getting my first gaming laptop and deciding between 3 company's

    Asus
    Gateway
    Alienware/Dell

    I'm looking to spend no more then $1400 or so. But would like to keep it closer to $1,000

    So I've been mostly looking at the Gateway FX series and the Asus laptops as I can get either one with similar setups for about $1,000.

    But am mostly worried about the reports of the Asus being downclocked.
