I really do like the form factor of the W3, so I'm wondering if there's anything on the horizon that's a successor to that computer. I'm also just interested in new Asus notebooks in general.

Hopefully they will come out with something like W5A but with NO built-in camera.

Something like 12.1 or 13.3 Wide screen, about 1 inch thin, no more than 3lb without the battery installed, at least 2 RAM slots, user accessible mini-pci slot, dedicated VRAM (Nvidia would be nice) and 2.5" HDD.

Integrated ODD is not necessary but would prefer 6-pin 1394 bus powered ext. ODD would be nice (DVD-RW or DVD/CDRW combo)

Thin and light in Black or silver/black combo.

    Maybe I'm asking too much...

Asus has put out 8 and 10" widescreen notebooks in the past......... they never really left taiwan for retail because they were TOO small for the US market (even though I was lucky enough to get one)..... but to be honest the S5 being 12" regular ratio was quite a risk when it came out a year and a half ago. This year, the 12" widescreen W5 was again a risk...... that's why they went with all the goodies, the larger battery and the built in drive. I don't think we're going to see anything for a while, but a system more like the S5 which is thin (no internal optical drive, no fritzy stuff like a camera and so forth.... But when we do, say... at the start of next year, I'd expect something super thin, thinner than the S5 is now, in the smaller format of 12" widescreen...... 3/4" or thinner at it's thickest section.... and probably 2.25 - 2.5 pounds max.

But don't expect something like this any time soon.

Yeah baby!! Come out with something great and I will buy it. W5A is great but just about 2% less to be perfect.

Justin, Any update - for PDA/Cell phone from Asus?? No ETA??

    Thanks in advance

All I can say is that I'm glad I've got mine...... still nothing, but by time they get them out no one's going to be interested....... I told you I'd let you know though.
