A lot of you have asked to add more RAM to the V6. With all of Asus' package deals, the RAM is the only thing we can upgrade and you keep your full 2 year global warranty.

That's easy when there is an available dimm to add another stick. Much more difficult, we the system is dual channel and both dimms are full. Both sticks have to be trashed and two new sticks should be installed.

Well, this is what has to be done. We don't have a use for anything but 512mb sticks of DDR2 533. So, the 256mb DDR2 400 sticks that are in the V6 will do nothing for us. We can't use them in anything. However, all of you want more than 512mb of RAM in your systems. What we've done is set up the site for you to add 1 or 2gb of DDR2 533 (instead of the 400 that comes with the system), install it, test it, and ship it. The original RAM will still ship with your system, in a case in the box. You can do whatever you want it.

I hope that atleast gives some of you another option.

It's a superslim drive..... there isn't a superslim drive made yet that is faster, otherwise it would have been offered. When it is, there is no reason why could couldn't.
