    Hello,

I am currently taking apart an ASUS X83VB to replace the armrest and the mousetrack on it. There is a pair of metal bars that hold the LCD in place that I am unsure on how to properly remove. Would anyone have any ideas on how to remove them?

    I've posted photos below.

    Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like any screws that would be securing those hinges would be underneath the top assembly and screwed into screw standoffs on the bottom case. Are you not able to remove the top assembly after removing all relevant screws from the bottom case?

Typically you wouldn't remove the hinges unless they are broken and in need of replacement. You really don't want to mess with the mounting of them unless it's absolutely necessary. You should be able to unscrew the rails that hold the LCD in place and angle the top case over the hinges. If not, maybe a reseller can upload a pic or two from the disassembly guide.
