Hello , I'am really tierd with asus because they dont have a clear infos on thier product in thier site so ill ask here

I'am intrested with G50VT series so...

    1- Is G50VT the best ASUS gaming notebook ? ( better than G70 , G71 ect..I mean in 1400 $ and less rang )

2- How many models are there of G50s ?? Like -X2 , -A2,V2 ect..( VERY IMPORTANT)

    3-Which is the best ASUS GAMING laptop(s) with a budget less/around 1400$
    ( With MODEL please i.e ASUS G50VT-X6 )

Main Idea : If i have 1400$ budget(can add few $ ) , What ASUS model is the best for Gaming ( 90% of the games are RTS , FPS like Totalwar, crysis,BF,Ageofempiers and Red alert 3 )

    THANK YOU !!

im not a huge fan of the g50s. there is alot of variations on the g50 but they all seem to exibit the same stuttering in games and have a typing delay problem. I love asus laptops but that just kills it for me. if you are already aware of this problem and are prepared then sorry for wasting space.

Your notebook's gaming capability, will mostly be determined by it's graphic solution. With this in mind, I would start here..... http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison-of-Graphic-Cards.130.0.html..... deciding on 'which' graphics card is acceptable..... then seek out the fastest processor, and the most memory within your budget.

To get an idea of a graphics card's gaming performance, try here:

ASUS notebooks are also rated here:

There are reasons for both the stuttering and the keyboard lag. The Symantec trackpad driver causes keyboard lag...uninstall it and use the vista driver.

The stuttering I found out after several months is associated with language changes on the keyboard. Pressing Ctrl+Shift changes the keyboard language and causes stuttering. This can be fixed under the Regional and language options in the control panel. I removed the Chinese keyboard option and shut off the hot-key switching and I have not had any stuttering since.

the exact details can be found in this post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4485494#post4485494

After those simple fixes, its all gravy. Asus makes excellent notebooks, they just have a couple oddities that need to be adjusted.

Just to be clear, the stuttering and kb lag are a common, but not universal problem as I have neither on a stock, out-of-the-box system. But I do think the S,D+Space problem applies to all G50's, and maybe other models too.

I didn't install keyboard filter driver, and I think it has some improvement when type.
