    Hi everyone...
Ive been doing some shopping around for an Asus M6Ne recently and came across a store today which had the Astone Z7W and the shop assistance enlightened me that its an Asus M6Ne just rebranded. Now i thought hmmm is he trying to fool me into buying it or what.. but the specs are the same.. im confused.. anyone know anything about the Astones???

Yep that's just about right. These are also still backed by the 2 year ASUS warranty I believe as well. That being said the quality of these machines may not be as good as a built by ASUS notebook. I had a look at a ASTONE Z7W when I was looking at the M6Ne, the casing and button placement did seem to be a bit different not quite as finished as the M6Ne, but thats just my glancing impressions. That being said the price of these is very very tempting, and I don't think you could find a notebook with these feature, and quality that comes even close to this price point.

Yeh.. having been quoted for the M6Ne around $3500 compared to the Astone with same specs for $2860 its a big saving... besides i can add another stick of 512MB Memory.. as well as buy a wireless access point for the house.. yay me..

Just note that the the M6Ne does come with a higher res screen and a ATI9700 GPU, while the Z7W doesn't, this is one reason why the M6Ne has a higher price tag, and why I spent the extra dosh.
