I'm on a relatively fresh install again on my C90S, and as of late I just noticed that control-z is not working at all.

Everything else works just fine keyboard wise. Cntrl-A, Cntrl-V, ect all work fine.

    Anyone have any ideas?

-And as a sidebar to that, I have the latest RealTek HD Audio drivers, and I cannot get my mic to return anything but massive distortion- with out with headphones.

Got the mic to work by muting "stereo surround".

    Still no control z.

Do you have a keyboard filter driver in your drivers disk?

Unsure. Not sure what that is. I don't have my c90s driver disk with me (at school) unfortunately.

Maybe try to determine if this is a hardware problem by connecting an external keyboard?

And a stupid question, does "Z" by itself work? :)

    Does *Right*CTRL+Z work?

Wireless keyboard I have attached does not work with control Z either. It used to also. Both stopped at the same time, so it must be a software issue.

Both Control and Z work separately.

    *Right*CNTL+Z does not work either.

I agree that it is a software issue. How about trying to stop software processes one at a time (from Task Manager), and trying Ctrl+Z after each process is stopped?

You may be able to determine like this what process is the culprit, and by it, the application.

When you said that this used to work, was this prior to reinstalling the OS? If so then just install again and test at every step.

^ I guess I could do that- but kinda of a pain. I'll reinstalling windows over my current one before I go nuking the whole setup again.

I need to try the killing process thing too.

    WELL WELL WELL!

    psqltray.exe

Nuked that process, and viola Cntrl-Z is back.

That's the process for my finger print reader, of which, I have no idea why it would conflict with Cntrl-Z.

I'll try updating the drivers- see what happens.

    Yay!
