    The Asus X83Vb-X2 is a decent notebook for the basic tasks you've listed and priced very competitively.

    It would probably be more helpful if you could fill out the FAQ, but here are some other similar units for your consideration: Sony VGN-NS240, MSI EX620, and HP dv4

    EDIT: Totally forgot about the Asus K series. Also check out the K50IJ-B1
