    Hey everyone,

Just wondering to owners of this laptop, what kind of temperatures do you encounter during idle/web surfing/watching videos.
I'm a little worried because I am just downloading Windows Updates (wifi on, full brightness, ION on) and it's already at 65 degrees Celsius.

    Should I be worried?

    Thanks!

Which component's temperature is it? If that is the HDD it is too high. If it is the CPU it is normal (a bit on the high side too but nothing to worry about).

The ION2 will idle in the 60's, and since there is only one fan and the case is so small it causes everything else to idle a bit higher as well.

That temp is fine, but I would recommend getting optimus going if you want your idle temps to be in the 40's while retaining the power of the ION when you need it. I did this since I didnt like the higher temps while just browsing :p

    Thanks for the observations guys.
I'd get Optimus, but I'm not sure if Optimus + Aero + Snipping Tool is worth $60 to upgrade to Home Premium.

Finally got 1080p mkv video to work and it does hit 70-75ish, which is expected, but a little worrying.

Just want to see if there are any other people who own this laptop to chip into this thread.

Good to have more than a sample size of 1 =D
